One of my favorite movies is Field of Dreams. Understandable, since I grew up in a home full of baseball fanatics. But it isn’t the hot actors, the rich history, or even the cool storyline that I love … it’s the message.
Writing sometimes takes on a marathon quality. Day in and day out, revising, rewriting, restructuring, and then revising again. I do love it, but sometimes I get weary. When I start to wonder if I can finish the race, I take some time and watch Field of Dreams and think of Terrance Mann, the author that lost his passion for writing.
And then I get my butt back in the chair and start again.
And that’s how you wrote the best book ever! Keep at it, Chi! You’re every kind of wonderful
