Ive found that kiddo’s either anticipate or dread this time of year. The first option applies for most of us; our children eagerly await December 25th. But I’ve been a teacher for far too long not to see the effects of poverty. I’ve come to learn over the years that children that don’t have often don’t want things for themselves. They yearn to give, and that need goes unsatisfied, burning in their gut, making Christmas almost unbearable.
And so the next few posts are going to be dedicated the to programs that give children luxuries that many of us take for granted. The first comes from a twitter friend of mine. Kidz Rock! Inc. It’s a great little non-profit that is dedicated to giving underprivileged children the gift of music and art. Please click here at take a look at their site.
Merry Christmas, and God Bless!
